Over the last few years we have been investigating ways in which we as a Society can work together to better record the physical heritage of Libya. As part of these efforts, we have now set up an online photographic library using the leading photo management and sharing application, Flickr.
The Society for Libyan Studies Flickr Photo Library can be found here.
Our aim is to provide members with the opportunity to deposit any images they may have of historic places and buildings in Libya – both formal photographs and more informal shots. We will make all such images free for re-use, as long as they are credited both to the Society, and to the individual contributor.
If you would like to deposit pictures in the SLS Flickr Photo Library, or if you already have a Flickr account and would like to share images, please email the Society’s General Secretary [email protected] for further details.
**Please note this service is available to Society members only**
Flickr is an image and video hosting service, as well as an online community. It is the world’s leading Web-based photo management and sharing application.
